Advtrains liveries

important: luanti players seem to not really care about advtrains in overall lately. simple livery mods are available like the livery editor, or some mods have their own like the minitram. making skins is unsupported by the game devs, so best we have is simplified liveries. i don’t want to care about making skins unless this perspective changes.

metrotest 3.8 got lost. i tried to update my copy of the dev version with the release version. android being android did not allow me. anyway i lost all my progress, and have no intention to redo it.

history/about

Metrotest is about driving a light–metro in very simple environment. the sections and stations are very simple, made to run on literal(!) potato devices, and has NO automation. thanks to all of you for comments and downloads! i never expected myself to get this far!

first, it was just an experimentation. trying out MT and advtrains.then i made one short underground scene with two stops. i played that for months, i was proud of myself xd. so i started to expand it and i reached a point where i had a lot built and i wanted to show it to someone. first i posted on reddit. i got more than 32 upvotes for some of my screenshots, and some nice comments!

3.6 this version consist mostly of extension, precisely double tracks, one for one direction.

a lot of underground scenes got double track,
the onground forest scene got double track,
some of these sections are “plain”, some of them are finished in design
platforms. its just a concrete “panel” of 0.5.

due to modern android being modern android, until Luanti devs make world importing-exporting a feature ingame (and they probably never bc its not enough important to triage(thats why even bugs from 2014 are still in the game)), i have to use Shizuku but its unreliable on my phone so its really difficult to work with. this is the main reason why i dont update frequently.

speed limit sign blocks

this is a simple mod with blocks and a designed texture. meant to be used in manually driven advtrains railway lines, as they are very visible and has big numbers. alt text

3,5,10,15,20 are speed limits. colors are from the Metrotest project, meant to replace the original color-coded speed limit indications.
M means “ Megálló” translates to Station/Stop, meant to indicate an upcoming station/where to stop at the station.
V is where the speed limit applies. example situation: train going with 20. driver sees speed limit 10. driver starts slowing down. driver sees speed limit applier sign ‘V’ in the distance, sets brake level accordingly. trains slowed down to 10 already when reached the speed limit applier ‘V’. im not sure if this exist in other countries or systems, if it does then you may be familiar wirh it already.
